Kedco employee John Brennan has recently completed a course in Compost Facility Operation and is expected to pick up his qualification at the upcoming Cré Annual Meeting.
Cré meaning Earth in Irish, are the composting association of Ireland. They are a non profit organisation who promote composting and the use of compost in Ireland.
In 2008 Cré together with Sligo Institute of technology and Fás initiated the Certificate in Compost Facility Operation which was officially launched by Minister for the Environment John Gormley. As compost is a product of the Dry Fermentation process and (to quote Minster Gormley) “trained operators are better operators and all areas of activity benefit from skilled and knowledgeable staff”, Kedco are delighted that John has completed the course.
