On March 28th, all Kedco employees joined people from around the world and turned their lights off for one hour in a universal effort to show that it is possible to take action on global warming.

Earth Hour begun in Sydney two years ago by the World Wildlife Fund, 2 million people turned off their lights. Last year 50 million people across 35 countries switched off for one hour.

This year in Ireland EirGrid reported a reduction for the hour of 70 MW, enough to power 45,000 homes or 100,000 plasma TVs - in spite of a match at Croke Park!
